Being hurt by someone we love goes deep into our souls. No matter how deep the hurt goes, we must hold on. The Christian walk we are in is not for the weak at heart; we cannot sit around and nursing our hurt. We must trust and depend on God. Sometimes it is just as hard (or harder) forgiving ourselves for hurting someone as it is not being able to forgive the ones who hurt us. God forgives us, so we must forgive ourselves and others. Forgiveness is for us, not for the one we need to forgive. Not forgiving will hold us in bondage. We must release and allow God to take control. "HE SETS THE EXAMPLE FOR FORGIVENESS".
